A screenshot review has two layers: visible content and attached file data
The visible layer includes names, faces, QR codes, location cues, reflections, and notification bars. The hidden layer can include EXIF, XMP, IPTC, comments, and time blocks written by cameras or editors.
A clean copy redraws visible pixels into a new Canvas and re-encodes them without intentionally copying source blocks. Format and browser behavior vary, so “not found” never means zero risk.

Does EXIF always contain GPS?
No. It may contain only device, orientation, and exposure data, or it may include location. The scanner flags EXIF without guessing its fields.
Does a clean copy change image quality?
JPEG is re-encoded at high quality; PNG pixels remain lossless. Color profiles, animation, and unusual features may not survive.
Is a clean scan enough to send safely?
No. The scan only covers known common blocks. You must still inspect the visible image and its recipients.
